NATASHA JOY CARRIZALES

Friday, December 9, 2005
Today we went to the administrators where Galina dropped off some documents. Then, on to the orphanage so Galina could type up some papers for us, as we are unable to use Lela's computer. We were able to spend some time w/our precious daughter and try to talk to one another using the dictionary, sign language and patience. Ariana and Natasha started to work on the cross stitch picture we brought. Wow...Natasha is quick! The way she moves the needle up and down the fabric is amazing! She sat there so patiently waiting for her sister, who is new at this, to finish her row of stitches.

Galina called Natasha in to write her consent, that she would like to be our daughter and we are all thrilled as she said "yes." Her new name will be Natasha Joy Carrizales. We chose "Joy" to be her middle name. After reading about Lienna Hanson's name being Lienna "Joy" Hanson, I felt that if we ever adopted I would like that to be our daughter's middle name as well. Why? I don't know...the meaning just fits. Then we found out that "Joy" is Michelle's middle name and I know this is another reason it so rightly fits.

This afternoon Galina was able to meet w/Natasha's brother and he gave his consent for her to be adopted...thank you Galina! Please pray, as it looks like we may be meeting w/Natasha's brother again on Sunday morning. Pray that in this meeting God will give us wisdom and peace. Thank you.

Love,
Ted, Amy, Natasha Joy & Ariana
