Our Court Happening

Our court experience went well. We had a very kind judge. He even asked who was watching after our children while we were away.

Galina tried everything she could to get the judge to waive the 10 day waiting time. She couldn't even get her "Plan B"...the judge to agree to waive until the 28th as she had hoped. She and Viktor searched three hours (as we waited outside in the car, freezing the whole time), through many books to try and find a loop hole in hopes of reducing the wait time but they could find nothing.

Ted and Amy . . .

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. What a wonderful experience. Patience!! That's been my long-standing prayer. God gives us the amount we need to get through every situation. Give Natasha Joy a big love from her Uncle Chuck . . . and Ariana, too.

Love to all.

Amy and Ted, I'm glad you were able to get through the court appearance today. I feel bad that the Judge did not waive the waiting period. We will continue to pray for you all. I Peter 5:6-7.

So far God has chosen never to hurry any of our adoption processes. I had hoped he would think hurry would benefit you all, but once again, the choice has been to take it slower than faster. He certainly knows it all and wants the best.

I would not trade one single day in Ukraine waiting to be "released". Not one single day. Even the one I was missing my children in Omaha so badly I thought I might break in two.

I'm feeling tremendous gratitude tonight as I frame a new family photo one year after we were all invited to Malys' to meet others considering adoption. Remember? Larry looked around the room and said those in attendance represented a potential of 9 children. After you all get home, only one more trip remains from that gathering...the Carpenters. Now there are 2 more families waiting who were only in the "silent hope" category this time last year.

Is anyone else silently hoping?

May your trust grow with each passing day.
Love, Amy
